Go to Settings >> System Settings from the navigation bar and click System Settings.
Select the Data Privacy Module tab.
Enable Data Privacy Module.
Note
You must configure the SMTP service before enabling the Data Privacy Module.
Select an Encryption Scheme from the drop-down menu.
The Simple encryption scheme is suitable if you are looking for a fast encryption scheme with comparatively less security.
The Complex encryption scheme is suitable when you want a robust encryption mechanism with comparatively slow performance.
Enter an Encryption Key. The key is used to encrypt the data of the selected fields.
Enter the names of the fields to encrypt and click Add.
Note
You cannot add the device_ip, the log_ts, and the col_ts fields as Data Privacy Module fields.
Click Save.
Note
You can import/export the fields for the Data Privacy Module by clicking the Import and Export button. While doing so, make sure the files to import/export are in the CSV format.
Once the Data Privacy Module is configured, the admin user(s) need to define the roles of different user groups as Requesting User or Granting User. Refer to the Data Privacy Groups section for further details.
